I&#8217;m here to inform you of another contest with an upcoming deadline: the Bridport Prize. You can find all the necessary information on <a href=\"https:\/\/www.bridportprize.org.uk\/content\/competition-rules\">their website<\/a>, but I will provide some highlights here:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The Bridport Prize was founded by the Bridport Arts Centre and raises funds for the center<\/li>\n<li>The three categories are poems, short stories, and flash fiction<\/li>\n<li>Although based in the UK, the contest is open to anyone of any nationality writing in English and who is 16 years of age or older at the time the contest closes<\/li>\n<li>You can enter online or by post<\/li>\n<li>There&#8217;s a small entry fee: 8 GBP per flash fiction, 9 GBP per poem, and 10 GBP per short story<\/li>\n<li>The prizes are as follows (copied directly from their site):<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Poem: 1<sup>st<\/sup> prize\u00a0 \u00a35,000, 2<sup>nd<\/sup> prize\u00a0 \u00a31,000, 3<sup>rd<\/sup> prize\u00a0 \u00a3500, Highly Commended\u00a0 10 x \u00a3100<\/p>\n<p>Short story: 1<sup>st<\/sup> prize\u00a0 \u00a35,000, 2<sup>nd<\/sup> prize\u00a0 \u00a31,000, 3<sup>rd<\/sup> prize\u00a0 \u00a3500, Highly Commended\u00a0 10 x \u00a3100<\/p>\n<p>Flash fiction: 1<sup>st<\/sup> prize\u00a0 \u00a31,000, 2<sup>nd<\/sup> prize\u00a0 \u00a3500, 3<sup>rd<\/sup> prize\u00a0 \u00a3250, Highly Commended\u00a0 3 x \u00a3100<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The results will be announced October 2017<\/li>\n<li>The deadline is <strong>May 31st<\/strong><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>I hope you&#8217;ll consider entering this contest, and I wish you all the best of luck.<\/p>\n<p>You want more information on contests, hot writing topics, and writing advice?
