Hire Me

Do you need an editor? Proofreader? Ghostwriter?

I am available for hire as a freelance editor. I specialize in narrative prose and speculative fiction, including science fiction, dystopian fiction, and fantasy. However, I am open to all kinds of writing and genres, including but not limited to poetry, essays, articles, blog posts, and narrative prose for both fiction and non-fiction stories.

Contact me at thewritersscrapbin@gmail.com with “Hire Stephanie” as the subject, details about the work you need, and your deadline. Please also include your first and last name and e-mail address.

I will let you know if/when I’m available for your project. If we agree to work together, I will also provide a freelancing contract.

Project Rates

My basic rates are:

  • Proofreading: $0.02 per word
  • Line/content Editing: $0.04 per word

If you have a project which you do not think falls into any of these categories, please contact me with the information and, if we decide to work together, we can negotiate an appropriate rate at that time.

Timelines will vary based on the word count of the project, how much editing/rewriting/writing must be done to the manuscript, and how many other projects and personal commitments I must attend to at that time.

Fiverr and Fiverr Reviews

You can also work with me through Fiverr at https://www.fiverr.com/dragonet07. I’m available to hire as a writer, editor, beta reader, pun writer, and more.

Here are some reviews of my work on Fiverr:

Writing

The [s]eller delivers a high quality product that is always proof read which makes reading it over such a treat. She is presently doing her masters degree in creative writing and you can tell that she’s brought those skills that she has learned to the projects that I’m working on presently. I’d definitely come back to this seller for sure! Thank you.

EXCELLENT WRITER!

I’ve purchased many gigs on Fiverr for various purposes. It’s difficult to know which sellers provide quality work, as some have high ratings yet leave you feeling disappointed. That’s why I want to comment on how glad I am to have discovered this seller. Her work is top-notch. Her communication is awesome. I’m a repeat buyer for good reason!

Editing and Proofreading

Best gig regarding editing and proofread[ing]. Love that she goes the extra mile. Be back soon.

Great and fast work! [Definitely] recommended.

Great skills, attention to details. Courtesy and responsiveness. Great to work with.

Beta Reading and Feedback

Exactly what I was looking for. Comprehensive review with specific feedback and pointers on where I can improve my manuscript. Suggestions were very useful. I’m adding this seller to my Fiverr Favorites and I look forward to returning with my next novel.

Outstanding service. Dragonet07 delivered thorough, well-constructed and valuable feedback on time and for a reasonable price. I will definitely be back.

This seller is amazing. I’m a repeat customer because her work is high-quality and outstanding (one of the very best on Fiverr). She has helped me move my novel to a whole new level and I’m eager to query literary agents with confidence. Thank you!!!

Book Reviews

I  have work[ed] with more than [a] hundred freelancers for different gigs at fiverr. But dragonet07 [is] really differentiate[s] herself with h[er] unique and exceptional service. I am flattered with h[er] work. She g[oes] far beyond my expectations. Thanks for your support and genuine feedback.

Exactly as promised; an honest review highlighting both what worked and what didn’t. This is particularly helpful for somebody who is their own writer, editor, social media person and advertising agent like many self-published authors.

Meticulous, professional presentations along with solid advice on ways the piece could be improved. It is admirable of you to act as the loud speaker for independent authors who otherwise might not have opportunity. Thanks for everything.

One-liners for Marketing

This is [my] second order and she does not disappoint. Thank you!

Amazing work, thank you sooooo much…

FAQ

  • Do you accept PayPal payments? Yes. In fact, it is my preferred method of payment due to security guarantees for both my clients and me.
  • Do you prefer being contacted via e-mail or Fiverr? I typically prefer to communicate with my clients and potential clients through e-mail so that my clients do not have to sign up for Fiverr if they aren’t already a user. Fiverr also takes 20% of the freelancer’s profits for each completed order and, while it is reasonable, it does not help my bottom line. However, if you are a Fiverr user and prefer to work through them or you have heard of them and wish to conduct business through them, please follow the link I have provided above.
  • Are your rates negotiable? I prefer to stay close to the rates I have listed above. However, I am willing to make exceptions depending on the circumstances, so feel free to explain your situation and budget when you contact me and we will probably be able to work something out.
  • Do you have any additional qualifications? In June 2015, I received a Bachelor’s in English with emphases in Creative Writing and Literature, Criticism, and Theory from the University of California, Davis. I am currently working toward my Master’s in Creative Writing from the University of Edinburgh and expect to get that degree in August 2019. Furthermore, I have had multiple poems and one essay published and was once longlisted for the Margery Allingham Short Story Competition. For more information, you can check out the About page, the Writing Resources page, and Stephanie’s Scrap Bin.

I hope I get to work with you in the near future.
